Top Ten Authors I Wish Would Write Another Novel

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the people over at The broke and the Bookish.

This weeks topic is authors we wish would write another book.

1. J.K. Rowling - I LOVED the Harry Potter series, and I can't wait for my daughter to get a little older so I can start reading them with her/to her. I would probably read anything this woman writes.

2. Stephanie Meyer - I really would like to see what comes next. She finished up the Twilight series, and I keep hearing rumors about a sequel to The Host. I really would like to see what comes next, more from The Host series? Midnight Sun? or something completly new?

3. Veronica Roth - I really need Insurgent and the rest of the books for that series...NOW. Divergent was one of the best books I read last year.  I really can't wait for more!

4. Diana Peterfreund - I know she is coming out with a new book soon, but to be honest I really want more killer unicorns, I am so in love with that series. It is origional how many cast unicorns as the bad guys?!? I want more please!

5. Rusty Fisher - I want more zombies please!?! Pretty please?!? I loved his book Zombies Don't Cry, and would love it he wrote more about those characters!

6. Richelle Mead - I know she is still writing books, but 2 of my favorite series by her have ended in the past year and all I can really say is please Richelle I need more Eugenie and Georgina. I would love to see her do some sort of spin off for either one of these series or just to write another Dark Swan book.

7. Kristin Cashore - again I know we are waiting for Bitterblue to be released finally *squee* but I really would love her to take Fire and and even Graceling and continue one with those stories. I loved Fire and Katsa and would really have loved to have more about them.

8. Edgar Allen Poe - I love his work! I would have loved to have been able to see how our time and things going on in our world would have effected how he wrote, or what he wrote about.

9. Suzanne Collins - She wowed me with the Hunger Games, and I'm pretty sure that anything this woman writes will make my day!

10. Laini Taylor - I really really want  need the next book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bones series.

  1. Both Rowling and Meyer are making a lot of lists...I think it would be difficult to start writing again after so much attention has been thrown on you. Can you imagine the expectations?

  2. I have vowed to read Graceling this year. I think it's about time! I agree with you about J.K. Rowling, Suzanne Collins, and Stephanie Meyer. Here is my list http://wp.me/pzUn5-M6

  3. Obviously, JK Rowling needs to write something ASAP. She's on every list! And I HAVE to get on those killer unicorns. I have the first book and just haven't gotten around to it (this is turning into my personal motto). They sound so great!
